Gedoogzone voor Tegenspraak / Tolerance Zone for Contradiction

During the previous Dutch presidencies of the EU Council, particularly in 1997, numerous protests and actions were organized. People rallied, waved their banners and protest signs, and demanded to be heard. This time, there’s not much opposition to be seen despite the precarious state of current affairs.

So, if you find yourself wanting to protest but are hesitant about the stance you should take, doubtful about the statements you should make, New Europeans can help you. We have the experience and expertise.

Every Friday, from 11.00 to 16.00, our Action Service Center on Kattenburgerstraat 5 is open. Complete with all the materials needed to make protest signs and banners, the Action Service Center will assist you executing your sign but also in articulating your views in a concise and powerful way. Once your sign is finished, install it in the Gedoogzone voor Tegenspraak / Tolerance Zone for Contradiction, a designated area by the main gate, in plain view for all EU officials to see. As the name suggests, opposing views are welcome; they will co-exist as a sculpture for protest.

The Action Service Center will also organize workshops in activist practices (e.g. how to make your own smoke bomb, how to plaster political posters). More info to follow.
